From Graceless To Christian
All by the grace of God
"My name is now Christian, but my name at the first was Graceless",
said Christian in Pilgrim's Progress.
What We Believe
"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul,
and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself." (Matthew 22:37-39)
We are a reformed confessional fellowship group. We subscribe fully to the Westminster Standards, which comprise the Westminster Confession of Faith, together with its Larger Catechism and Shorter Catechism. And the right understanding of true biblical doctrines must (not may) translate into loving God our God with all our heart, with all our soul and with all our mind, and loving our neighbours as ourselves in our life (Matthew 22:37-39).
We agree with the Puritan minister Richard Baxter as well as B. B. Warfield in their conclusions on the Westminster Assembly and the Westminster Standards below:

"As far as I am able to judge, the Christian world, since the days of the apostles, had never a synod of more excellent divines (i.e. theologians) than this (Westminster Assembly)." (Richard Baxter)

"The Westminster Standards ... are the richest and most precise and best guarded statement ever penned of all that enters into evangelical religion, and of all that must be safeguarded if evangelical religion is to persist in the world." (B. B. Warfield)

We bear in mind that God did not raise up and give us this assembly of able, godly and learned ministers without cause, but in His very own words to us in Ephesians 4:8,11-14, His true ministers are gifts to the church for our growth and great benefit:

"Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men ... And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:, Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive" (Ephesians 4:8, 11-14)

In all things, we go back to the Word of God, which is given by the inspiration of God, to be the sole rule of our faith and life. As the apostle Paul puts it,

“And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." (2 Timothy 3:15-17).
We sing the divinely-inspired psalms exclusively in our worship of God and we use the King James Version of the Bible which is the most faithful and accurate English translation and version of God's Word, for all our preaching, teaching, reading and studying of God’s Word.
